His first movie that went world-wide had him as a heroine addict named Mark Renton in Trainspotting which was directed by Danny Boyle.
Mr. Mcgregor has stared in many romantic movies like Moulin Rouge, Down With Love,and the British film Little Voice. He also starred in Young Adam which is about a drifter who gets mixed up in a murder case. He became Young Obi-Wan Kenobi in the prequil to the classic Star Wars Trilogy Filmed in 1977,Obi-Wan was first acted by Sir Alec Guinnes. Ewan Mcgregor and Sir Alec Guinnes have the same face structure so his helped link the movies to look like Obi-Wan just got older. In 2005 he was the lead robot in the movie Robots he was Rodnie Copperbottom.
