BES Volunteer Opportunities

The BES Parent-Teacher Organization will be coordianting the volunteer program again this year.  This program has proved to be very beneficial for our school and we would like to see it grow!  Karen Finney is our Volunteer Coordinator for this year.  If you are interested in in helping with this school year, please contact the secretaries at Beloit Elementary School or Karen Finney at 738-2620 or at farmerkaren@myway.com with your volunteer interests.  Thanks for your willingness to partner with us in helping to improve the quality of education for our children!

Back to School Fun Night- Fun Night will be on September 14th and will be held separately from Parent Night.  Volunteers will be needed to help with the barbeque and the AirWave Games.  Time committed: 2 hours

Box Tops & Best Choice Labels- Volunteers are needed to trim and package the labels that are collected by our students.  Time committed: as needed (could be done at home)

Breakfast- Supervise students who participate in the Breakfast Program.  Times are 7:40-8:00 one or more days per week.  Free breakfast provided for volunteers.

Library- Assist librarian with shelving books, sorting, and filling bulletin boards, and /or making book marks.  Time committed: as needed

Music- Assist music teacher with bulletin boards, room decorations, decorations for concerts, and/or grading tests.  Time committed: as needed

Written and Illustrated- Assist Mrs. Hosie and students with putting their books together.  Time committed: as needed.

Author's Party- Assist Mrs. Hosie with refreshments and Written and Illustrated Party.  Time committed: 2 hours.

Classroom Help- Assist teachers with learning centers for Reading and Math.  Please indicate grade levels you would like to help with.

Fun Day Races- Volunteers needed to help plan and organize this event at the end of the school year. 

P.T.O. Softball Tournament (2007 Summer)- Help will be needed in the concession stands as well as food donations.
