String Orchestra Tuesday, November 18, 2008 7:00 p.m. Beloit Jr.-Sr. High School Commons Michael Harbaugh—teacher Text Box: The Beloit Elementary School and the Beloit Jr.-Sr. High School will present an Orchestra Concert in the commons of the Beloit Jr.-Sr. High School at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, November 18, under the direction of Michael Harbaugh. The 57 member Beloit Junior Orchestra will perform first on the program. The Junior Orchestra consists of string instrument students from grades 5 through 8. The Orchestra will perform “Toccatina” by William Hofeldt, “Theme from Canon in D” by Johann Pachelbel, arranged by John Capponegro, “Mabel Creek Overture” by William Harbinson, and “Sweet Moment” by Alan Lee Silva, featuring the 8th grade Orchestra class. The 38 member Beloit Senior High String Orchestra will perform “Declarations” by Jeffrey Bishop, “Brandenburg Concerto No. 4, 3rd Movement” by J.S. Bach, arranged by Mark Jasinski, “Psalm and Fugue” by Alan Hovhaness, and “American Reel” by Kirt Mosier. No admission will be charged and everyone is encouraged to attend.
